The town of Hopewell is located in Ontario County in the Finger Lakes region of New York state. With a population of approximately 3,300 and 36 square miles, it is a fairly rural, quiet and peaceful area. Click here for the Town of Hopewell site. The Hopewell Fire Department has been proudly serving Hopewell for over 50 years. The first official meeting after incorporation took place on March 3, 1959 with 38 members, 300 feet of fire hose and the borrowed Grange Hall as their meeting place. Today, to meet the growing demands of our community, the Hopewell Fire Department now has 48 active members, 2 Fire Stations and 6 apparatus in service. The men and women of the Hopewell Fire Department are dedicated to not only protecting our neighbors and friends but also to protecting and strengthening the legacy of our early beginnings and public image. |
