Bunk-In Program

The Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department bunk-in program was created in 2005 and has been a great asset to the Hopewell community. The program provides increased staffing of trained firefighters and medical personnel who live at our fire station.

Fire Station 2 has four bunk rooms, a kitchen, laundry facility and living room very similar to a college dorm setting.  Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department has been fortunate to work with Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) whereby several students in the Paramedic and Wildland Fire Suppression programs have been bunker live-ins.

If you are a student pursuing a higher education with experience in the fire/ems fields and you are interested in becoming part of the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department then becoming a live-in Bunker may be for you. If interested in discussing the Bunk-in program or a tour of our fire station call (585) 394-4120 or send an email to ray.crombe@hopewellfire.org
